sister in Christ

In a vision I saw a little pink pig. It looked pretty clean and was on a grassy knoll. But, it began to root around and dig as if to make a wallow. And, the Lord showed me that a weapon is being formed against the body of Christ to convince us that our efforts to be spiritual just aren't working. It's too hard to keep praying; it's too hard to continue to war against the enemy; it's too hard to overcome the flesh. The enemy wants us to give up and go back to wallowing in the mire. The Lord says, refuse to give up. Your walk in the Spirit will prepare and cause you to overcome the flesh, the world, and the devil.

2 Peter 2:20-22 For if, after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the beginning. For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them. But it has happened to them according to the true proverb: "A dog returns to his own vomit," and, "a sow, having washed, to her wallowing in the mire."

God invites us to prove for ourselves the reality of His word,

the truth of His promises. He bids us "Taste & See that the Lord is good." Psalm 34:8 Instead of depending upon the word of another, we are to taste for ourselves. He declares, "Ask and ye shall receive." John 16:24. His promises will be fulfilled. They have never failed; they can never fail. As we draw near to Jesus, and rejoice in the fullness of His love, our doubt and darkness will disappear in the light of His presence. –Steps to Christ, Ellen G. White (pg. 83)

CHALLENGE

Try Jesus. Why not? You've tried everything else in life, and all you have been left with is an expensive habit and/or you're finding it harder and harder to deal with the everyday sorrows of life. God makes a promise to us all that if we seek His kingdom and His righteousness, he will take care of all of our needs. Matthew 6:33 For the next (7)days seek the Lord with all of your heart and you will find Him. Jeremiah 29:11-13

JESUS LOVES YOU!

REWARD

"He who comes to God must believe that He is (that He exists) and believe that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him." Hebrews 11:6 Following the instruction of the Bible, for the next (7) days, seek the Lord with all of your heart and He will be found by you. Jeremiah 29:13-14 God is not hiding, He makes Himself readily available to the whole world by inviting us to Ask, Seek and Knock and to call out to Him and He will tell us great and unsearchable things you do not know? Matthew 7:7 & Jeremiah 33:3

RULES

By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about (7) days and by faith you're going to seek the Lord diligently every morning, noon, & night for (7) days in hope that God will answer your request. As disciples of Christ we have to learn to make God a priority in our life as He has already made us a priority in His life. The first commandment states that we should love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. For this reason, we will put God first in our lives by seeking Him in the morning before we do anything else, at noon before we eat lunch, and at night before we rest.

    Morning

  • Bible Study
  • Prayer

Noon

  • Prayer w/ brother or sister from church

Night (Repeat Morning)

HOW TO STUDY THE BIBLE

The Bible tells us to study & show thyself approved, however when it come Bible Study it is imperative that you pray first. Ask the Lord to bless you with the Holy Spirit to teach you and give you an understanding of the scriptures. 1 John 2:27 After you pray, open your Bible and trust that wherever you open it to is where the Lord wants you to read. When you read, listen. Assume you know nothing. Read and listen very carefully and the Spirit of the Lord will bring the scriptures He wants to your attention!

HOW TO PRAY

Jesus teaches the disciples (us) how to pray. Matthew 5:6-13 We have broken it down into these simple parts so that you can speak your own personal prayer to the Lord.

  1. Thank Him for who He is and His love
  2. Ask His will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
  3. Ask forgiveness for your sins
  4. Humbly present your request
  5. Thank Him in advance for answering your prayer

Scriptures to read during your challenge

Jeremiah 29:11-14, Isaiah 55, Revelation 3:16-20, Judges 6, Hebrews 11, John 1:1-14, John6:22-70, Ezekiel 18, & Proverbs (the book)
